How do I verify my photos?

Show potential matches you’re real by completing photo verification. It helps others trust that you are the same person in your profile photos.

To verify, tap the Verify button on your profile or follow the in-app verification flow. You will be asked to take a live selfie that matches a random pose shown on screen.

We use automated and human review to check that your selfie matches the person in your profile photos. Verification is usually confirmed or denied within a few minutes.

On supported iPhones, live verification uses the front-facing TrueDepth camera and ARKit face tracking only while you complete the verification flow. We use this data solely to confirm you are a real person; we do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties. Why was I asked to verify?

From time to time we require members to verify their photos to reduce fake accounts, bots, and underage use. We may use automated systems and human moderators to confirm you are a real person and old enough to use Local Dating (18+).

Verification selfies are stored securely with your account and are not shown on your public profile or to other users. We process this data for safety and verification purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
